Yusuf/Cat Stevens, 74 anni, sarà in concerto il 18 giugno all’Auditorium nell’ambito del Roma Summer Fest 2023.
Si tratta del suo primo live in Italia dopo 9 anni e anche per questo la serata assume già i contorni di uno dei concerti più attesi dell’estate musicale italiana, un concerto che vedrà l’artista attingere dal suo epico catalogo di canzoni che include “Wild World“, “Peace Train“, “The Wind” e “Father And Son“, una delle sue canzoni più belle e immortale, un emozionante dialogo tra un padre e un figlio.
Yusuf/Cat Stevens è stato inserito sia nella Rock & Roll Hall of Fame che nella Songwriters Hall of Fame e ha venduto oltre 100 milioni di album in tutto il mondo. In ogni fase del percorso la sua musica è sempre stata incentrata sulla ricerca dell’illuminazione spirituale e della pace.
Cat Stevens, pseudonimo di Steven Demetre Georgiou e dopo la sua convesione all’Islam conosciuto anche come Yusuf Islam o semplicemente Yusuf, è dagli anni ’70 che lavora direttamente nel campo degli aiuti umanitari e dell’istruzione. Raccoglie fondi e sostiene le vittime di disastri sia naturali che causati dall’uomo attraverso la sua fondazione globale Peace Train, con la sua missione di “Nutrire gli affamati e diffondere la pace”.
